The CANSEARCH Foundation has become a member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), whose goal is to bring together and support the international cancer community. This is to reduce the burden of cancer, promote equality in the management of the disease and ensure that this theme remains a public health priority throughout the world. The CANSEARCH Foundation is pleased to fund Dr. Nicolas Waespe, a hematologist-pediatric oncologist and associate at the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine in Berne, where the Swiss Childhood Cancer Registry is located.
The collaboration concerns two projects: the project “BioLink, a contribution to the networking of biobanks for research purposes” to link the Swiss Childhood Cancer Registry in Berne, the BaHOP in Geneva (“Biobank for Hematology and Oncology in Pediatrics “) and the tumor tissue bank based in Zurich, to provide researchers with clinical and genetic data on children who have been diagnosed with cancer or who will be diagnosed in the future.

CANSEARCH co organised, from 25 – 27 September, a Summer School with the European Society of Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Therapy (ESPT) and the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN) at the Geneva Biotech Campus on Personalized Medicine. We are pleased to announce the participation of Professor Ansari and his researchers at the 59th ASH Congress to be held from 9-12 December 2017 in Atlanta. Presentations will focus on:
