Sébastien Joliat, Chairman

After obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Geneva, Sébastien Joliat joined Ernst & Young SA (Geneva) in 1997 in the field of banking auditing. Since 2003 he has been working as a financial director in banking institutions. He is currently CFO and member of the Executive Board of Hyposwiss Private Bank Genève SA, which he joined in 2011. Throughout his career, Sébastien Joliat has always worked with humanitarian associations. Sébastien has been active within CANSEARCH since its creation in 2011.
Guerric Canonica

Guerric Canonica is a member of the Geneva Bar and a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Immobilières (IEI). He joined the law firm Canonica, Valticos, De Preux & Associés in 2006 first as an associate and then as a partner as of 1 January 2010. Guerric's practice is mainly focused on general criminal and business law, as well as private law. He is active in the field of commercial, patrimonial and inheritance advice and conducts a very regular activity in the recovery of assets in Switzerland and abroad, in particular on behalf of foreign state-owned companies that are victims of economic crime. He is also active in real estate law (tenancy law, building law and spatial planning law). He is also a member of several boards of directors of Swiss and foreign companies, as well as of charitable institutions active in Geneva in particular
Patricia Hubscher Eichenberger

A married mother of three, Patricia Hubscher Eichenberger has been Deputy Director at Pictet & Cie since 1999, having started her career at Credit Suisse in Zurich and London. She has been Chairman of a Public Benefit Foundation linked to the Protestant heritage since 2014 and has also been a member of the Caran d'Ache SA Board of Directors since 2015. Patricia holds a degree from HEC Lausanne and is completing an administrator training course at the Swiss Board School
Phil Lenz

Phil Lenz was recruited in October 2007 to establish a presence in Switzerland and set-up a new Trust Company for the Butterfield Group. Prior to that role, Phil was the Chief Administration Officer of the global wealth structuring division at Barclays Wealth and directly involved in strategic planning, acquisitions and the administration of large and complex trust structures.
Over the past 20 years, he held a number of other positions in the financial industry, primarily in corporate and private banking.
Phil holds a BSc in mathematics from Imperial College (London) and qualified as a trust and estate practitioner in 2001. He is a registered member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and he regularly mentioned in publications such as Who’s Who Legal, ePrivateclient and Citywealth.
Maurice Machenbaum

Co-founder of WISE philanthropy advisors, Maurice Machenbaum is an expert in project management and social development. During his career he has worked on numerous projects on all continents and has served on the board of the World Scout Movement and Doctor of the World (Switzerland). He is also the co-founder of Swiss Philanthropy Foundation.

Prof. Marc Ansari, Member

Head of the Pediatric Onco-Hematology Unit, HUG
Marc Ansari has practiced medicine for over 15 years, particularly in the areas of pediatric oncology, hematology and genetics. In 2011, he founded the CANSEARCH Foundation and research platform at the University of Geneva. Since 1 January 2013, he is Head of the Pediatric Onco-Hematology unit of the HUG. In November 2015, he was appointed Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Geneva and Assistant Professor in 2017.
